We are excited to share an important update to the WARNS scoring system. The Total Risk score changes to a Total Need for Support score with three levels: Low, Moderate, and High Need for Support. This is a change from Low and High Risk. We maintain the 6 domain scores of Low, Moderate, and High Risk.
This change brings greater consistency to the WARNS scores. It also places emphasis on the level of support a student may need. We hope that this change will aid you in the conversation with the student to decide where support may be needed. This update is reflected in the WARNS score report and in the dashboard. This change may help you better identify students with a high need for support and focus resources accordingly. The short video describes these changes.
